Free seminar on Social Security offered
First Federal financial consultant Bill Bowlan presents “Social Security: More than Meets the Eye” at noon and again at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Sequim Village Marketplace branch, 1201 W. Washington St.
The free 90-minute session includes a light meal and beverage. Topics covered include how benefits are calculated, understanding the Social Security statement, how much of benefits is taxable and spousal benefits.

Classes offered at Henery’s
Henery’s Garden Center, 1060 Sequim-Dungeness Way, hosts two classes on Saturday, April 23.
Lori Lovell teaches “Making Your Own Spring Container” at 9:30 a.m. The center provides plants, cedar box and supplies to create a one-of-a-kind container. The fee is $25. 
“Making Your Own Moss Basket” will be offered at 3:30 p.m. The fee is $30-$40 depending on the number of plants used.
