Sequim Open Air Market

Welcome back to the Open Aire Market. We are thrilled to be open, ready to celebrate local producers of all kinds.

Market hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. every Saturday through October; we're located on Cedar Street between Sequim and Second avenues in downtown Sequim. Our farmers, artists, crafters, musicians and food producers are ready to go and look forward to seeing you.

So, what is new at the market?

There are many new vendors.

Come hungry and visit three new hot food vendors: Dave's Warming Cafe, serving Italian sausage sandwiches and cold lemonade; Galare Thai, serving hot Thai food; and Viaggia Pizza, baking wood-fired pizzas on site with a mobile wood-fired oven. Billy Bob's BBQ has returned and follow your nose to Bell Street Bakery's booth.

Local farmers - including Nash's Organic Produce, Lazy J Tree, Fruit and Compost Farm and The Family Farm - will put dinner on your table alongside Tuna Dan's fresh fish and Clark Farm's grass-fed beef.

Set yourself a fun goal: Come to the market and buy everything for one meal, 100-percent local. Invite your friends, tell us about it and inspire others.

Don't forget to pick up some fresh goat cheese from Wild Harvest Farms, salsa from José's, barbecue sauce and, for dessert, honey from Elwha Apiary.

New and returning craft vendors bring their talents and vision to beautiful gifts and functional crafts. Spruce up your wardrobe, bring the birds a new home in your yard and smell fabulous with local bath products.

This week, Charlie Ferris will present live music from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Lisa Bridge is the manager of the Sequim Open Aire Market. For more information, visit www.sequim
