The fifth annual North Olympic Peninsula Chess Tournament, formerly the Port Townsend Open, begins Jan. 7, 2013. Games are played at the rate of one game per week, time/place by players’ agreement, in a six-round Swiss-style tourney. Entry fee of $10; all fees are added to $300 prize fund already established.
