Hundreds of people gathered at the bingo room at 7 Cedars Casino on July 12 for a shot to be on the long-running game show, Wheel of Fortune. Hopefuls took the stage five at a time and spun the wheel, which awarded prizes such as hats and shirts, and tried to solve the puzzle.
According to David Strathearn, Sony Pictures Television senior marketing and promotions manager, a team from the show is traveling across Washington state to search for future contestants.
Were looking for their stage presence, Strathearn said. Were really looking for that natural energy.
Those chosen move on to a second round of auditions, which includes a written test, in Seattle.
