Choir boosters
meet tonight
The Sequim High School Choir Boosters Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at the choir room at Sequim Community School's auxiliary building, 220 W. Alder St.
All parents are invited.
Meeting topics include upcoming adjudications and fundraisers.

Dailey, West named
to CWU honor roll
Two former Sequim High School students were named to the Central Washington University honor roll for fall quarter 2008.
Tyson James Dailey and Rondale Kirsten West were named to CWU's list.
To be named to CWU's honor roll, undergraduate students must earn a 3.50 or better grade-point average while carrying at least 12 graded credit hours.

The special services staff of Sequim School District No. 323 conducts ongoing developmental screening for children ages birth through 21 who live in the Sequim School District, are not attending school and who may be delayed in one or more of the following areas: cognitive, communication, fine motor, gross motor, social/emotional, adaptive skills, and/or health impairments. The screening's purpose is to identify developmental delays that may affect a child's performance in school. The intervention program offers the child and their family a connection to appropriate services, education and information.
Include the child's name, birth date, age, mailing address and telephone number.

First Teacher events set
The First Teacher program at Sequim Community School, 220 W. Alder St., has special activities planned for January.
First Teacher hosts special Friday events. On Jan. 23, esthetician Kathleen Prince talks about and demonstrates good skin care techniques. On Jan. 30, dentist Brian Hughes talks about the importance of good early oral hygiene for children.
First Teacher also hosts the United Way-sponsored "Listening to Community Voices" program on Jan. 21. This is a time to talk with others about community needs (call First Teacher in advance to reserve a spot).
