Get down to the root of your food source and learn how to grow and maintain your own food supply with the age-old craft of sustainability.

Join Nash Huber and his production managers at Nash's Corner, 4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way, for a three-part series that will highlight orchard maintenance, incorporating food into your landscape and the inner workings of healthy soil.



Spring workshops:

_ "Berries, Kiwis, Figs and Apples, Oh My!" Join Josh Gloor for a hands-on orchard experience as he discusses the various crafts involved in tree pruning, berry maintenance and how to incorporate fruit into your landscape.

10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at Nash's Corner



_ "Going to the Garden for Dinner All Year Long!" Walk alongside Scott Chichester and discover how you can eat from your garden year-round.

He will highlight vegetable varietals well-suited to

Sequim's climate and elaborate on the art of seasonal planting. No need for expensive greenhouses because you can do this in your backyard.

10 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at Nash's Corner



_ "Get the Real Dirt on Soil Health." Sam McCullough will take you on a trek through a Dungeness field as he explains the process of working with nature to keep your soil healthy and dynamic. Learn how irrigation, cover cropping and other sustainable practices can increase the fertility of your home garden.

10 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at The Delta Farm



Classes run about three hours and are $20 per person. Financial assistance is available. All workshops require field and all-weather gear. Space is limited, so register at Nash's Farm Store or call 683-4642.
