A talent showcase on Friday, Sept. 18, will feature five professionals and a variety of amateur entertainment acts ranging from dancing to dog acts, says coordinator Kayana Harrison of Sequim's Got Talent.
"We've had awesome interest, a lot of variety," Harrison said. Featured artists Jeremy Cays, Paul Creech, Stephanie Barden, Kate Lily and Jonathan Simonson will anchor the show.
Proceeds will help support Sequim's student ambassadors when they travel in October to Shiso, Japan, Sequim's sister city, Harrison said.
Twelve student ambassadors, all high school freshmen, have been selected to participate. The program is not a school function but operates as part of the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce sister city program.
The show opens at 7 p.m. at the Sequim High School auditorium, 533 N. Sequim Ave. Admission is by a suggested donation of $8 for adults, $5 for students, $25 for families.
