Sequim Open Aire Market will be open from 10 a.m.-

1 p.m. Saturdays throughout October on Cedar Street in downtown Sequim.

The extended season features farmers including Nash's Organic Produce, Lazy J Tree Farm organic produce, The Family Farm and A New Leaf. It is a bountiful time of year and these vendors offer their best.

Abundant fall fruit includes apples and pears plus fall crops of lettuce, chard, kale and other leafy greens, broccoli and snap peas. Freshly dug potatoes and onions await your kitchen table. Locally grown garlic adds some zing while winter squash and pumpkins usher in the new culinary season.

This Saturday, Nash's culinary intern Shara Truett livens up lunch with a live cooking demonstration featuring fresh produce from all the market farm vendors. Refresh your lunch routine with easy-to-prepare cold salads and creative veggie sandwiches. She also will prepare delicious, packable and nutritious green smoothies. Samples will be handed out all day, so be sure to come hungry.

Clallam County's only commercial cheesemaker will be on hand in her new blue cheese wagon, offering hand-crafted cheeses including cheddar, camembert and a soft, white farmers cheese that provides a perfect complement to a crisp fall pear.

Tuna Dan brings fresh, well-priced locally caught fish.

Chocolate Serenade features Belgian chocolates prepared according to a decades-old family recipe and beautifully packaged. Other treats are local honey and locally roasted coffee.
