Ghosts and ghouls reportedly have been seen lately in the foggy far reaches near the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. It must be time for Carnival of the Twilight.

The event, started last year by

Ted and Linda Krysinski, dba TLK Productions, Inc., continues to support three nonprofit foundations: The Exponential Project, Fallen Firefighters and Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, and the Jefferson County

Humane Society.

The Krysinskis are preparing new scares.

"Carnival of the Twilight will feature many surprises, including an encounter with gypsy fortune tellers and our carnival fun house with some strange sights," said Ted Krysinski.

"This year's Carnival of the Twilight will include 12 rooms we can scare you in as you make your way through the haunt," Krysinski added.

"We've changed some of the scares from our first year - dropped some things, added others."

Hauntownsend's Carnival of

the Twilight is open from 7-11 p.m.

Oct. 28-30. On Halloween night, Oct. 31, it will be open from 7 p.m.-midnight.

General admission costs $10. Anyone 14 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, visit
