Award-winning Olympic Peninsula nature writer and poet Tim McNulty will be the speaker at Peninsula College's Thursday, Nov. 19, Studium Generale program.
McNulty will talk about his newly revised book "Olympic National Park: A Natural History" starting at 12:35 p.m. in the Little Theater at the college, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.
The book won a Governor's Writers Award when it was first released in 1996.
McNulty has teamed with photographer Pat O'Hara to produce an award-winning series of books on other national parks including "Yellowstone: Land of Fire and Falling Water," "Grand Canyon: Window on the River of Time" and "Grand Teton: Where Lightning Walks." "Washington's Mount Rainier National Park: A Centennial Celebration," their 1998 book, won a National Outdoor Book Award.
McNulty will be Peninsula College's 10th Writer in Residence in April 2010.
