Members of the Public are invited to attend a Commemoration Ceremony for National Law Enforcement Memorial Week on Friday, May 14th. The event will be held at 10 am at the local replica of the Liberty Bell, located at the Veterans’ Memorial Park on Lincoln Street, just north of the Clallam County Courthouse. The ceremony will include the reading of a Proclamation issued by the Board County Commissioners, comments by Sheriff Bill Benedict, a 21 bell salute, a benediction by Sheriff’s Chaplin Jim Chase, and the singing of our National Anthem by Jessie Davis. Ms. Davis is the daughter of Clallam County Sheriff’s Deputy Wally Davis, who was killed while responding to a call for service on August 5, 2000.
