Discovery Memory Care honored Memorial Day on May 31. Boys Scout Troop 1101 held a flag raising ceremony and the residents and Scouts recited the pledge of allegiance and sang the national anthem. A display honored residents who served in the armed forces. Residents dined on an American barbecue lunch in the patriotically decorated dining room.

Discovery Memory Care and the local VFW/VA veteran service officers present a free veterans benefits seminar from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at the Sequim Senior Activity Center. Topics include benefits, how they work, how to apply and more.
