Candidate debates include judges, state legislators

Rick Porter, Tim Davis and Pam Lindquist, candidates for judge, District Court 1, and Larry Freedman, Deb Kelly and Lauren Erickson, candidates for prosecuting attorney, are scheduled to participate in League of Women Voters debates from 6:30-9:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, in the Carver Room of the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles.
Pros/cons for NOLS 2012 also will be debated at the July 20 program and at the organization's second debate from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, July 24.
State House of Representatives District 24 candidates scheduled for the July 24 debate at the Sequim Senior Activity Center, 921 E. Hammond St., Sequim, include Dan Gase, Kevin Van De Wege and Craig Durgan for Position 1 and Jack Dwyer, Steve Tharinger, Jim McEntire and Larry Carter for Position 2.
The third debate, from 7-9 p.m. Monday, July 26, in the Port Angeles City Council Chambers, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, includes county commissioner District 3 candidates Mike Doherty Jr., Robin Poole and Bill Peach, and director of community development candidates Sean Ryan, John Miller, Tim Woolett, Sheila Roark Miller and Alan Barnard.
