Feiro Marine Life Center and Service Education Adventure are bringing the ship Indigo to Port Angeles for teacher training programs, youth education programs and public tours of local waters. The 65-foot, steel, marine-research vessel will be in Port Angeles waters from July 31-Aug. 3.
On Monday, Aug. 2, two, four-hour tours aboard the vessel are scheduled for the public. Onboard naturalists will talk about local natural history and marine wildlife.
The cost per person is $40. The tours
are from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. To register, call Feiro Marine Life Center at 417-6254.
Feiro Marine Life Center is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting marine conservation and education. It is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. seven days a week on the Port Angeles Pier at the foot of Lincoln Street.
