Saturdays 9 a. m.-3 p.m. between Sequim and

Second avenues

Wednesdays 2-6 p.m.

corner of Sequim Avenue

and Washington Street

Steve Koehler will be performing this Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the market square. A long-time community member and musician of the peninsula, we are fortunate to have him at the market this week.

What is new at the market this week? The produce keeps coming. Kol Simcha Farm is selling beautiful broccoli, The Family Farm has okra, Nash's has gooseberries and Lazy J Farm has bags of mixed lettuce and arugula, Emily's Flowers is dripping in raspberries and Graysmarsh has all your berry needs! That is just the tip of the iceberg. The summer sun and smattering of rain has blessed the fields and farmers, so the crops are starting to pile up in the stands. There is lots of great food to color your table or picnic blanket. Please come down and fill your canvas bags with this week's harvest. If you don't buy local, the farmers go loco!

With new designs and colors each week, Gracie's Doilies will grace your dining table or armchair with a meticulously crafted doily. Gracie Ervin started crocheting when she was pregnant with her first child (1952) and has had a ball of thread and her needles by her side ever since. She has been selling her doilies at farmers markets for about 20 years and has been a member of Sequim Open Aire Market since 2007. She constantly is searching out new colors and pattern books (always looking for old books at yard sales) for her work. Also being an avid gardener of a large perennial yard, she derives lots of inspiration from the colors and textures of our backyard. Take a moment to meet her, take in her craft and thank her for being one of our generous sponsors.

If you haven't made it to our Wednesday market, please do! We love having the midweek market and it needs your support. There are piles of carrots, cauliflower, apricots and green beans. The pizzas are coming out of the oven with fresh-picked tomatoes and basil on top. Clark Farm has all you need for your barbecue or Sunday roast. It is the bounty of our beloved

Sequim, a farming community. Thank you for supporting your local farms on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

The community booths will be hosting AWARE and Simply Friends of the Garden.
