Old Olympic Highway was closed briefly today following an accident just west of Sequim. The accident occurred at approximately 2 p.m.

Arlene Dickinson, Sequim, was driving east on Old Olympic Highway when she stopped to make a left turn onto Livengood Lane. She was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Fani Hernandez, Port Angeles.

Clallam County Deputy Josh Ley said the injuries were minor and “treatable.”

He said the highway was closed only briefly as the fluids and other debris left by the accident were removed from the road’s surface.

Ley said Hernandez likely will be cited for “inattention.”
