Olympic National Park partner Discover Your Northwest will hold an annual holiday sale from Dec. 10-24.

During the two-week sale, customers will receive a 15-percent discount at Discover Your Northwest locations, including the Olympic National Park Visitor Center, Forks Recreation Information Center and Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center.

Discover Your Northwest members, as well as members of other national park cooperating organizations, are eligible to receive a 30-percent discount.

In time for this year’s sale, Discover Your Northwest is offering a variety of new products, including organic T-shirts and brand  new Elwha River Restoration cinch sacks and hats.

The Olympic National Park Annual Pass and the America the Beautiful/National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Annual Pass will not be offered at discount prices; however, they are available at Discover Your Northwest locations and also may be purchased as gifts.

“For anyone who makes at least two trips into the park each year, the Olympic National Park Annual Pass is a great value,” said park Superintendent Karen Gustin.

From 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, local authors will be on hand at the Olympic National Park Visitor Center to sign copies of their work:

• Photographer Ross Hamilton — The Olympic Wilderness Trilogy, calendars and posters
• Tim McNulty — “From the Air: Olympic Peninsula” and “Olympic National Park: A Natural History”
• Gary Peterson and Glynda Peterson Schaad — “Women to Reckon With: Untamed Women of the Olympic Wilderness,” “High Divide: Minnie Peterson’s Olympic Mountain Adventures”

• David Woodcock — “From the Air: Olympic Peninsula”

Sale items and park passes will be offered at the following locations:
• Olympic National Park Visitor Center, 3002 Mount Angeles Road in Port Angeles (9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily)
• Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center (10 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday-Sunday)

• Olympic National Park & Olympic National Forest Recreation Information Center, Forks Transit Center, 551 S. Forks Ave., Forks (10 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday-Sunday)

At Olympic National Park, Discover Your Northwest funds publication of the park’s winter and summer newspapers as well as educational trail guides.

Discover Your Northwest also has made important contributions in support of the park’s volunteer program, visitor center exhibits and the Perspectives series of speakers.

Proceeds from the $30 annual Olympic National Park Pass also benefit Olympic National Park. Eighty percent of the fee revenue collected in Olympic National Park remains here, where it is used for projects that directly benefit park visitors, including trail maintenance, campground improvements, accessibility upgrades and visitor service.
