The Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce threw a party and everybody showed up. Or everyone who could fit in The Oasis Sports Bar & Grill, at least.
Chamber Executive Director Shelli Robb-Kahler said the party, held Saturday, Feb. 4, was a big success, with a sellout crowd enjoying great food and the 1960s sounds of Creme Tangerine, a Beatles tribute band.
“We wanted to put on something fun for the community and we wanted it to be a small fundraiser,” Robb-Kahler said. “And we did that.”
In the end, the party netted “about $1,500,” Robb-Kahler said.
The bottom line was aided considerably by Dale and Janice Dunning, the owners of The Oasis, who personally sprang for the food and a drink for everyone in attendance.
