A boil-water advisory for customers of the Crescent Water Association has ended.
Lab tests show the water meets safe drinking water standards.
The boil-water advisory was issued May 10 after water samples from the Crescent Water Association’s distribution system tested positive for E. coli bacteria.
The advisory affected about 900 homes and businesses in the community of Joyce, 22 miles west of Port Angeles, near Lake Crescent.
The Washington State Department of Health worked closely with the utility during the advisory. Water samples collected throughout the water system were analyzed and found to be free of bacteria. The utility staff inspected the system and found no obvious source of contamination.
Crescent customers who have questions may call 360-928-3128.
