Chemical dependency professional trainee Kaya Maraya Silkiss-Hero of Clallam County chose to not pursue further training in the program. An article in last week’s Sequim Gazette (“State revokes, suspends licenses,” page A-8) incorrectly asserted Silkiss-Hero failed to comply with program requirements. Silkiss-Hero says she plans to pursue employment with her chemical dependency professional training in the Washington State Healthcare Professionals and is in good standing with the state health department.
The Sequim Gazette is located at 147 W. Washington Street in Sequim.
