Don’t miss the First Teacher Dungeness Kids Fair on Saturday, July 14.

The fair features arts and crafts, entertainment, music and dance classes, clowns, games, prizes, free books, a bake sale, silent auction, a fire truck and ambulance and more.

First Teacher and the Parenting Matters Foundation will have a bake sale, including pizza and ice cream, and a silent auction with lots of baskets of toys and crafts. They also will be selling tickets to the First Teacher Seattle Mariners game against the Kansas City Royals on July 29.

Parents, grandparents, parents-to-be and caregivers of young children also will find information on local programs and services for infants, children and families in the area.

The Kids Fair will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Carrie Blake Park, 202 Blake Ave. in Sequim.

Kids Fair is a fundraiser for the Parenting Matters Foundation, a partner agency of United Way of Clallam County.

Foundation President Cynthia Martin called the fair “a wonderful free event to give families a time to have fun and learn about the many community resources available to young families.”

The First Teacher Dungeness Kids Fair is sponsored by Alder Wood Bistro, Columbia Bank, Dungeness Kids Company, Peninsula Children’s Clinic and Solar City’s Tesa Boutique & Tanning Retreat.

More than two dozen exhibitors will be on hand for the Dungeness Kids Fair, including: Aspire Academy (dance, music and movement classes); Child Evangelism Fellowship of the Olympic Peninsula, face-painting, beaded bracelets; Clallam County Literacy Council, free books; Dungeness Creamery, free samples and calf petting; Happy Tymer clowns will entertain with puppets and balloons; Nash’s Organic Produce; Carrie Rodlend and students, playing African Mbiri music; Sequim Police Department, car seat inspections and installations; and Sequim Pre-3, selling raffle tickets for gift certificates.
