A pair of crashes last weekend saw four persons receive medical treatment.

 

According to a Washington State Patrol report, on Saturday, Sept. 8, at about 9:07 p.m., a vehicle driven by Dawn M. Harrell, 45, of Sequim, was traveling eastbound on the shoulder of U.S. Highway 101 about three miles east of Port Angeles when it collided with a car on the shoulder that had its flashers on.

 

Telman Idrisov, 25, of Kent, who was in the second vehicle, was transported to Olympic Medical Center following the crash.

 

Harrell also was transported to Olympic Medical Center. She was cited with driving under the influence, according to the state patrol report.

 

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the report.

 

On Sunday, Sept. 9, at about 5:50 p.m., 65-year-old Kenneth R. Almberg of Sequim was injured when he laid down his motorcycle and collided with another motorcycle on Highway 101 about 13 miles east of Sequim (in Jefferson County), according to a state patrol report.

 

Almberg, who was unable to stop for the slowing traffic, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

 

A second motorcyclist, 49-year-old Steven Rose of Sequim, was ejected from his motorcycle in the wreck. He was injured and transported to Jefferson General Hospital.
