On Dec. 15 the Sequim Association of Realtors held its annual awards and installation of officers banquet.

 

E. Michael McAleer was installed as the 2013 president. Other officers include Vice President Bill Schroepfer, Secretary Lani McCarry and Treasurer Mark McHugh. Marguerite Glover and Heidi Hansen are the state directors (Mike McAleer serves as alternate). The local directors are Alan Burwell, Butch Glover and Gail Sumpter.

 

Awards were given to Robert Sexton, Rookie of the Year; Ron Gillis, Property Rights Advocate; Gail Sumpter, Pro-Realtor Community Advocate; Cathy Reed, Best Food at an Open House; Arthur Buhrer, Most Techie; Lisa Roberts, New Voice; Jo Cummins, Special Recognition; Mark Couhig, Affiliate of the Year; Jim McEntire, Citizen of the Year; Shawna Rigg, Community Service; Hazel Ault, Realtor Achievement; Marguerite Glover, Courage Under Fire; and Heidi Hansen, Realtor of the Year.

 

Rigg received her Community Service Award from Deon Kapetan of Sound Community Bank.

 

Phil Harlan, president of the Washington Realtors Association, officiated at the meeting, including swearing in the officers. From left are Harlan, Clarence “Butch” Glover, Lani McCarry, Mark McHugh, Marguerite Glover, Mike McAleer, Gail Sumpter, Alan Burwell and Heidi Hansen.
