The Sequim funeral home owner who tried to establish a Carlsborg crematory has been fined by the state for not filing death certificates with the state health department within the required three days.
On Oct.1, households across the 24th Legislative District - which includes Clallam, Jefferson and parts of Grays Harbor counties - will receive a phone call from state Rep. Kevin Van De Wege at around 6 p.m.
Two people were evaluated at Olympic Medical Center following a three-vehicle wreck that tied up traffic for about an hour Thursday afternoon at U.S. Highway 101 and Louella Road, two miles east of Sequim.
