Richard Jennings Conger
There will be a celebration of life at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple St., Sequim, for Sequim resident Richard Jennings Conger, who died Dec. 23, 2012, at the age of 84.
He was born May 10, 1928, in Riceville, Iowa, to Clarence and Alyce Jennings Conger. He graduated Iowa State University in 1956 with a bachelor’s degree in forestry. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant.
He married Elizabeth Neis on Aug. 8, 1951, in Riceville.
He was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Peninsula Driftwood Artists and Newcomers club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dean Conger and sisters Pauline Moore and Kate Moss.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; brother and sister-in-law Doug and Donna Conger; sister Sharon Walker; daughters and sons-in-law Cindy and Chuck Meyer of Milwaukee, Wis., and Val and Kent Ferris of Seattle; son and daughter-in-law Tim and Molly Conger of Nashville, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.
A second celebration of life and the burial will take place at a later date in Riceville.
The family thanks the Virginia Mason ALS clinic, Dr. William Kintner and staff at Olympic Medical Physicians, and Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society, P.O. Box 2114, Sequim, WA 98382.

 

 

Carmen H. Fraker-Olstead
A memorial service was held Dec. 29 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Port Angeles for Sequim resident Carmen H. Fraker-Olstead, who died Dec. 23, 2012, at the age of 95. A full obituary will follow in a later edition. Arrangements were by Drennan and Ford Funeral Home.

Richard L. Taylor
A memorial service will be announced later for Port Angeles resident Richard “Pete” L. Taylor, who died Dec. 22, 2012, at the age of 57.
He was born Feb. 21, 1955, in Shelton. An online guestbook is at www.drennanford.com.
