WWU degree info session comes to Peninsula College

Those interested in earning a bachelor's degree in environmental studies while staying on the Olympic Peninsula may be interested in an informational session about Western Washington University's Huxley College of the Environment on the Peninsulas.

The program is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, at the Peninsula College PUB building, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

Those who cannot attend the Port Angeles session may attend a similar program from 10 a.m.-

1 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, at Olympic College in Bremerton.



Wilgocki earns WSU degree

Caitlin Wilgocki, of

Sequim, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Washington State University following the fall 2009 semester.

Wilgocki is a 2004 graduate of Sequim High School.



Bruce earns spot on Great Falls list

Christina Bruce, of

Sequim, was named to the fall semester dean's list at the University of Great Falls in Great Falls, Mont.

The dean's list recognizes students who have received a 3.5 or higher grade-point average.

Bruce is a 2009 graduate of Sequim High School.



Student art show planners seek artists

High school and middle school students are invited to submit artwork for the 16th annual Sequim Arts Student Show, scheduled for March 5-26 at the Museum and Arts Center, 175 W. Cedar St.

The show is open to all students in grades 6-12 in public, private and home schools of Clallam County.

Entries will be accepted from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, and from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Museum and Art Center.

Entry fee is $1 per piece with a limit of two entries per student.
