Girls basketball: Sequim falls at Bremerton

Bremerton jumped to a big lead and was never threatened down the stretch in a 50-32 home win against Sequim on Jan. 8.

Sawyer Kluge led all scorers with 21 as the Knights improved to 7-1 in league play and 7-5 overall.

Alexas Besand scored 10 points in her return to the Sequim lineup; she had missed about three weeks of action with a sprained ankle.

Caitlin Stofferahn added seven points for the Wolves.

Bremerton led 15-9 after one quarter and 33-23 by halftime.

Sequim (2-6 in Olympic League play, 4-8 overall) plays at Olympic (5-3, 8-4) on Friday, Jan. 11.
