Shelly Ashby, Sequim branch manager for Gellor Insurance, left, received the Kiwanis Business of the Month award for April from Shell McGuire, arrangements chairman for the Sequim Kiwanis Club. Gellor Insurance is a family owned, independent insurance agency. The Gellor family has owned the business since 1928 and has been located in Port Angeles and Sequim with a few years in Forks. In their third generation of ownership, the company has been in Sequim since 1974. They have 10 employees, several with more than 10 years experience. They offer commercial, home, health and life insurance services. The Gellor family and their employees all have been active in local community projects.
