Drennan & Ford Funeral Home and Crematory sponsors its third annual "Operation Valentine" through Feb. 1.

Children, students, Scout troops, teachers, parents and others are invited to create handmade Valentine cards to be delivered to U.S. Marines who have been injured or become ill while serving in combat zones. Envelopes are not necessary; valentines will be packed to send.

Organizers ask that glitter not be used to decorate cards and that a response from the veteran not be requested. Bring valentines to the Drennan & Ford office, 260 Monroe Road, Port Angeles, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday through Feb. 1. For more information, call 457-1210 or e-mail info@drennanford.com.
