Music Live with Lunch welcomes pianist and conductor Dr. Gary McRoberts and his program "The Many Varieties of Jazz."

He'll play noon-12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.

Music ranges from bebop to rags with McRoberts sharing some history of popular performers and music.

McRoberts has studied piano since age 4 and began studying the organ at 8.

He has taught public school and collegiate music.

McRoberts was a sought-after clinician in the Choral Jazz idiom and has performed in many venues on the peninsula and continues to conduct the Sequim Community Christmas Chorus.

Music Live with Lunch is a concert series held on the third Tuesday of each month September-May, except December.

Music runs half an hour with a meal afterward.

Tickets are $10 and available in advance at St. Luke's office 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-noon Friday.

A portion of all monies collected is given to Sequim area charities.

Call the church at 683-4862 or Ray or Carolyn Braun at 452-0495 for more information.
