Sequim Arts announces the following First Friday arts events and ongoing art displays for July:
At The Blue Whole Gallery, 129 W. Washington St., Sequim: The Lavender Festival is the theme for July, with a group show. Artwork by Larry Barnes and Terry Grastiet is featured in the windows. Open for First Friday Artwalk, from 5-8 p.m. July 2, and also open celebrating the Lavender Festival until 8 p.m. on Friday, July 16.
n At The Gallery at the Fifth Avenue, 500 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim:
Sequim Arts member Ryoko Toyama presents a one-person show of watercolors from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. daily. Meet the artist reception from
1-3 p.m. Sunday, July 11.
n At the Museum and Arts Center, 175 W. Cedar St., Sequim: The North Olympic Watercolorists present a month-long show of water media art by its members. Sequim Arts member Rudy Bauer also has his pottery on display. A First Friday reception is 5-8 p.m. July 2 and the show runs through Saturday, July 31.
n At KeyBank, 120 N. Dunlap Ave., Sequim:
Sequim Arts member Randy Radock has his block prints on display. They are inspired by nature, exotic journeys and Northwest native art forms. Meet the artist during First Friday Artwalk from 5-6 p.m. July 2. Visit www.randstar
n At Strait Financial Advice, 193 W. Cedar St, Sequim: Well-known local artist Donna Standerwick has her artwork on display through August during business hours. Closed July 2. Open for August First Friday from 5-7 p.m., but no artist reception.
n At The Dove's Nest, 139 W. Washington St., Sequim: Sequim Arts member Skip Kratzer has his distinctive car art and paintings on display in July. Meet the artist in the rear lounge from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 2. Look for Sequim Arts member Grace Shepard's artwork near the front entrance.
n At The Buzz/Bedazzled, 128 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim: John Mackay presents nature-themed photographic artwork with inspirations from Washington and the Northwest. Money from sales goes toward promoting reading programs for students. Meet the artist from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 2.
n At the Sequim Public Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim: Sequim Arts member Sallie Radock has an extensive display of block prints through July. Her work is inspired by nature, travel and Native American art forms. Visit www.rand starimages.com.

Sequim Arts, in partnership with the Sequim Lavender Festival, presents the 2010 Sequim Arts Studio Tour. Meet and visit with 23 working artists in the Sequim area who open their studios from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. to visitors during the Lavender Festival, Friday-Sunday, July 16-18. Details are at
