Picking and plunking at Port Townsend acoustic bluesfest

Centrum's 19th annual Port Townsend Acoustic Blues Festival is Aug. 4-7 at Fort Worden state Park in Port Townsend. Multi-instrument virtuoso David Bromberg and his quartet play at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6; and the Down-Home Country BluesFest is at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7.

The festival also features more than 20 nationally-acclaimed acoustic blues artists in club performances.

The festival opens with an All-Star Blues Dance at Littlefield Green, adjacent to McCurdy Pavilion, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4. Friday there is a free performance at noon on the lawn of the Fort Worden Commons and a children's performance featuring Lightnin' Wells at 11 a.m. at the Fort Worden chapel.
