Sequim's Fourth Friday Reading Series features peninsula poet Charlotte Warren at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Rainshadow Coffee, 157 W. Cedar St.

Warren reads poetry and excerpts from her recently published memoir, "Jumna: Sacred River, An American Childhood in India." Warren's collection, "Gandhi's Lap," won the Washington Prize and publication by Word Works in Washington, D.C.

After Warren's reading, audience members give five-minute open-mic readings of poetry or prose. Come early to put your name in or just to get a great seat, coffee and dessert. For guidelines, e-mail Rmarcus@olypen.com or phone 681-2205.
