In 2012, Men With Guitars’ premiere drew a capacity crowd. This year, on Saturday, May 11, the strings will ring again, at Olympic Theatre Arts — a larger venue.
Tickets will be available at the door beginning at 6:30 p.m.
At 7 p.m., the lineup that includes Cort Armstrong and Jim Faddis, Ron Munro and Noel Forest Price, Larry Bauer, Steve Koehler and Forrest and Steve Gilchrist will present favorite tunes from the 1950s and 1960s. Sue Ellen White will be the master of ceremonies and Kelly Thomas will manage the sound system.
The performance benefits Mujeres de Maiz Opportunity Foundation, a Sequim-based nonprofit providing scholarships for girls and women in Chiapas, Mexico, that country’s poorest state.
Wine, beer, snacks and other beverages will be available throughout the evening.
Faddis is a former member of bluegrass band Prairie Flyer. He’s now with One More Ride. He and Armstrong perform as Farm Strong. Armstrong also plays with the Blue Rooster Band and with his wife in Cort and Kia Armstrong. Munro is with Acoustic News. Price is a member of Blackbird. Koehler plays with SuperTrees and Forrest Gilchrist is with Seattle band Life N Mine.
