This weekend is a nerd’s dream in Seattle with the Emerald City Comic Con.
Thousands of people pile into the Washington State Convention Center to see their favorite comic creators, buy unique comic items and see celebrities from some of your favorite genre shows like George Takei from “Star Trek.”

• “The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck” by Don Rosa
Want to know how Scrooge got his riches? Read this beautiful collection.
• “Fables” and “Jack of Fables” by writer Bill Willingham
Considered by many comic critics to be the best comic available today. I would agree.
• “Trinity” by writer Kurt Busiek
Introduces Wonder Woman to Batman and Superman for the first time. It’s fun and shows that Wonder Woman is a great character.
• “The Walking Dead” by writer Robert Kirkman/Tony Moore (artist book 1)
This phenomenon doesn’t need an introduction. The TV show has made it a U.S. best-seller. You can even find it in Walmart. Warning: very graphic.
• “Scott Pilgrim” by Bryan Lee O’ Malley.
Slacker-turned-hero Scott must battle his girlfriend Ramona’s seven evil exes. The series really pulls you in and has great throwbacks to video games and Japanese comics.
• “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep?" Adapted by Daryl Gregory and Tony Parker.
Did you like the movie “Blade Runner?” Then how about the graphic novelization of the book the movie is based on?

Have you seen that comic where it’s the same panel with dinosaurs every time but different jokes? No? Then check it out. www.qwantz.com
