Professional storyteller Cherie Trebon will teach a beginners class in storytelling at Peninsula College for five consecutive Wednesday evenings, starting May 14.
Trebon is active in The Story People of Clallam County and the Port Angeles Players.
Her storytelling career began in 1988 when she attended a storytelling class.
Basically, the class that I am offering is the same one that I took in 1988, Trebon said, and that class changed my life. Not only did my passion for storytelling result from the class, but it also helped me to overcome a terrifying fear of public speaking.
Trebon stressed that the class is not just for prospective storytellers. She has taught a similar class through North Seattle Community College for more than eight years and has had students from nearly all walks of life.
Cost for the class is $32.
To register, call 417-6230 and refer to class N815.
