Mountain View Christian School is hosting a graduation at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 1, at Sequim Adventist Church Fellowship Hall, 30 Sanford Lane.
The school offers classes for grades 1-8.
The eighth-grade graduates this year are Abigail Berry and Jonathan Lewis.

Olympic Christian hosts open house
School leaders at Olympic Christian School, 43 O'Brien Road, Port Angeles, are hosting an open house from 6-8 p.m. on May 28.
The open house features a tour of the campus, games, raffle prizes, a hayride and teachers on hand to answer questions.
Enrollment for the 2009-2010 Olympic Christian School year is now open. Teachers at the school have Washington state certifications. The school offers small class sizes, athletic programs and music programs.

Six Sequim students make SPU honors list
Several Sequim students recently were named to the Seattle Pacific University dean's list for winter quarter 2009.
They are Whitney Bigger, Naomi Fosket, Kira Hendricksen, Valerie Moser, Michael Richards and Mickey Yeager.
To qualify for the dean's list, students must have completed at least 12 credits and maintained a 3.50 or higher grade-point average.
Sequim High School senior Derrell Jensen recently was awarded an Academic Honors scholarship for $3,000 for the 2009-2010 academic year at Eastern Washington University.
The award is given to new incoming freshmen who demonstrate outstanding academic merit and achievements in high school and have achieved a 3.7 or better grade-point average; an SAT score of 1100 or better; or ACT score of 24 or better.
Jensen graduates from
Sequim High School this June.
He plans to attend Eastern in the fall to study music education.
Jensen is the son of David and Joellyn Jensen.
Online public school offers info meeting
Officials from Insight School of Washington, an online, tuition-free public high school, host an information session from 10 a.m.-noon on May 30 at the Red Lion Hotel (221 N. Lincoln St.) in Port Angeles.
Students and parents are invited to come learn about how online education works and how to enroll.
Local students enrolled at Insight are scheduled to be on hand and talk about their experiences.

Caretakers of the Clallam County Physicians Community Benefit fund are accepting applications for both academic scholarships in medically-related fields and medically-related community grants, both to be awarded in 2009.
The community grants encourage one-time, medically-related community projects that benefit a broad cross-section of the community.

Completed applications are due by June 1.
