A Sequim woman faces a DUI charge after driving off the road Sunday evening on Highway 116 in Jefferson County.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the woman was eastbound on Highway 116 shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday when her Nissan Pathfinder left the roadway.
It went into the ditch, struck a sign and overturned, partially blocking the roadway, the incident report stated.
She was trapped in the vehicle for 30 minutes before being removed and taken to Jefferson Healthcare for evaluation of an ankle injury.
The Pathfinder was totalled and towed from the scene. The woman was wearing her seat belt, the report stated. The roadway was partially blocked for about 90 minutes.

Leaders of Year
Sequim's Robert J. "Bob" Clark and his wife, Glenda, were presented the State Grange Leader of the Year award June 20 during the final day of the 120th annual convention of the Washington State Grange in Longview.
Bob Clark has held elective offices on the local, county, state and national levels. He was the 13th state master for the Washington State Grange, an office he held from 1989-1995. Prior to that he held the state treasurer and overseer positions and served on the National Grange executive committee for several years.
Glenda has held numerous offices in the Sequim Prairie Grange and in the Clallam County Pomona Grange including master in both bodies. On the State Grange level, she has served in a leadership role on various committees and currently is a member with her husband of the State Grange Membership Team. She was convention coordinator in 1987 when the State Grange held its annual session in Port Angeles. Besides her Grange involvement, she is a member of Eastern Star, PEO and serves as secretary of their irrigation district.
Peninsula Driftwood Artists announced the People's Choice winners for favorite sculpture at its recent annual show at Carrie Blake Park.
Winners were 1. Yolanda Proulx's "Free Spirit;" 2. Shirley Stoll's "Praying Mantis;" and honorable mention, Mona Nau's "Peninsula Wood Duck."
The club also named 27 winners in a raffle drawing on June 14.
QFC Store in Sequim donated flowers for the annual show at Carrie Blake Park.
Henery's Garden Center loaned plants and shrubs.
The club's work will be on display at the Clallam County Fair in August.
The Sequim Happy Valley Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host an open house from 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday, June 27. Dinner will be served at 4:30. Polynesian-themed entertainment will run from
5:30-6 p.m., followed by tours of the church, 815 W. Washington St., Sequim, until 7 p.m.
A First Teacher fundraising meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26, in Room 4W at Sequim Community School, 220 W. Alder St.
Program organizers are continuing planning for a fundraiser dinner, set for Aug. 22 at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club.

Olympic Medical Center received its ninth and 10th deficiency-free (clean) audits from the Washington State Auditor's Office. The two audits examined financial transactions for 2007 and 2008.
According to the report, the audit determined Olympic Medical complied with state laws and regulations, as well as the hospital's own policies and procedures. Also examined was the medical center's accountability of public resources. The audit paid specific attention to areas that have the highest potential for abuse and misuse of public resources.
