City Hall location remains a mystery

The city soon might have a new city hall site.
The council voted 5-2 Aug. 24 to enter a nine-month option to buy "Option A," one of two presented in a 15-minute closed session, as a possible site for a new city hall.
Councilors Ken Hays and Erik Erichsen voted "no."
Option A fits the city's criteria for a city hall site of being at least three acres near downtown.
Hays said he didn't
support either option.
"We've gone around and around and we're back where we started again," Erichsen said.
City offices are spread across Sequim. City hall is at 152 W. Cedar St., and council meetings are held at the Sequim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St. The Planning and Public Works Department leases space at 615 N. Fifth Ave., and the police lease space at 609 W. Washington St.
