Dungeness Kids Co. hosts First Teacher fundraiser

The Dungeness Kids Co. is donating 30 percent of all proceeds from sales on Saturday, Oct. 17, to the First Teacher Program.

Dungeness Kids Co. is at 990 E. Washington St. and specializes in children's clothing, plus shoes, hosiery and accessories, toys, books and gifts for mothers.

College bound-themed videos wanted

The Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board is looking for students to produce clever videos that promote attending college. Participants may enter the contest as an individual

or with a group. Winning entries receive prizes and recognition.

Exchange students sought

The ASSE International Student Exchange Program is seeking students interested in becoming an exchange student to European countries, Canada, Mexico, China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa.

Exchange students live with a caring host family while attending high school and learning about the language and culture of their chosen host country.

Programs may last for an academic year, semester or summer program.

ASVAB test

set for Oct. 21

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test, a career exploration program and aptitude test, is scheduled for 8:15-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Sequim High School library, 601 N. Sequim Ave. The test is free.

Interested students must sign up for the test in the high school counseling office.
