Dec. 7 marks KSQM's one-year anniversary. The volunteer-run Sequim radio station at 91.5 FM is holding a "raining cats and dogs" pledge drive to celebrate from Friday-Sunday, Dec. 4-6.
Activities include speakers sharing animal care advice, "howl-with-joy" music and a fun election. A representative from Peninsula Friends of Animals will answer phones from 1-5 p.m. Friday.
From 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, the Adoption Wagon from the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society will be at the station, 577-C W. Washington St., and adoptable dogs from Welfare for Animals Guild will visit from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday.
Monday is the station's one-year anniversary and Pearl Harbor Day. The station will play melodies to warm the hearts of veterans and there will be an open house to celebrate the commemoration.
