Sequim resident Taylor Sankhouser-Tucker has been arrested for seven cases of graffiti vandalism in Sequim.
Maris Turner, Sequim Police public information officer, said more reported vandalism cases could be linked to Sankhouser-Tucker.
He will be tried separately for each graffiti act on charges of third-degree malicious mischief.
Most taggings were on businesses
within walking distance of each other in downtown Sequim.
Turner said that if citizens see graffiti and vandalism, they should report it to authorities.
"We wouldn't have noticed a trend if we hadn't gotten reports," she said.
"Make a report, even if it's a little paint on your or a neighbor's building or fence."
Some insurance companies and landlords will cover vandalism costs.
"We want to make sure people are cleaning (graffiti) up quickly because it can snowball," Turner said. Sequim Police can be reached at 683-7227 or for an emergency at 9-1-1.
