Hot chili warms a chilly night

Fairview Grange holds a chili-feed fundraiser at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the Fairview Grange Hall, 161 Lake Farm Road, Port Angeles.

The cost is $6 per bowl for chili with all the fixings or $3 for a chili dog. The funds will be used for community activities.

Class on Constitution

FourC (Concerned Citizens of Clallam County) conducts a class on the U.S. Constitution from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 at Jeremiah's BBQ, 825 W. Washington St., Sequim. No meal will be provided. For details, call 681-4227.

Doing the dog park

Best Friend Nutrition announces the first of a series of "DogShops" being taught by certified professional dog trainer Judith Bell. "Dog Parks: the Good, the Bad and the Fun!" is a 90-minute class for humans and their dogs from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the store, 680 W. Washington St., Suite B102, in Sequim. Hood Canal bridge alerts

Drivers can expect 40-minute daytime openings on the Hood Canal bridge at 2:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 20 and tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 21. No nighttime openings are scheduled through Friday, Jan. 22. Bridge openings for marine vessels will occur as needed.
