The owners of the Supercuts salon at 1245 W. Washington St. are being told to pay
four months of back rent and late fees or move out, according to a lawsuit filed Jan. 27 in Clallam County Superior Court by the property owner.
If a company representative doesn't appear at a Thursday, Feb. 11, hearing, the court will order the Sheriff's Office to evict the business from its space.
According to the lawsuit, through Jan. 19, 2010, the business owes $13,847.09 to landlord James Gallaugher of Madison Sequim.
The total includes four $2,930.46 monthly rental payments, four $168.58 late charges and three monthly common area expenses totaling $1,450.93.
The lawsuit seeks eviction and double rent for the four months past due plus other damages to be determined at trial including pre- and post-judgment interest and attorney's fees.
A 10-day notice to pay or vacate was delivered on Nov. 25, 2009, according to the lawsuit filed by the Seattle law firm Foster Pepper.
The firm represents Madison Sequim, which owns the property at 1245 W. Washington St.
Wray Enterprises of Issaquah, a franchise of the Minneapolis-based Supercuts chain, has leased the property since June 2006.
