Thrift store extends hours
Sequim Dungeness Hospital Guild Thrift Store will be open from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays, April 3-17. The store is on the corner of Second Avenue and Bell Street in Sequim.
All white tag items in the store will be half-priced.
The shop features gently used clothing, kitchenware, furniture, jewelry, books and some tools. Call 683-7044.
A vegetarian/vegan potluck and program is held at 6 p.m. the first Wednesday of the month in the Adventist Community Services Center, 30 Sanford Lane, Sequim.

Joe Murray was re-elected on March 2 to a three-year term on the Clallam Conservation District's board of supervisors. He ran unopposed for one of the three elected positions.
The other two elected supervisors are Don Hatler and Marilyn Pollock. The appointed supervisors are Nash Huber and Ben Smith.
The board identifies local conservation priorities, sets goals and oversees implementation of plans to protect soil, water, wildlife and other renewable natural resources.
The board meets at 3 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at the Clallam Conservation District office, 1601 E. Front St. Suite A in Port Angeles.
Cub Scout Pack 4490 is collecting old American flags from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at the Safeway in Sequim.

Roadside maintenance on U.S. Highway 101 from Port Angeles to Gardiner will continue from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. through Thursday.
Flaggers will control one-way alternating traffic in both directions of the highway between Morse Creek and Old Gardiner Road.
The work is being done by the Washington State Department of Transportation.
No studded tires after April 1
Washington State Patrol troopers enforce a $124 fine for those who use studded tires after April 1.
In Washington, studded tires are legal from Nov. 1-March 31.
Washington State Department of Transportation encourages drivers, especially those heading into the higher elevations, to plan ahead and drive for conditions.

Poet debuts book
Poet Sally Albiso debuts her book "Newsworthy" at the 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 2, program of "Enter Stage Left" in the Webster House at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.
The Enter Stage Left performance series continues through April. A $5 donation is suggested.

Clallam Conservation District administers a Manure Share Program to connect people who have extra horse or livestock manure with people who want manure for their gardens.
