The largest car show on the North Olympic Peninsula revved its engines May 8 at the Sequim Irrigation Festival.

Burt Karapostoles, the show’s chairman for a second year, said more than 150 vehicles participated in the Lo-co-Motion Cruzz before the grand parade and the Show n’ Shine throughout the day.

He said this was the most participation in the seven years the show has been held and some cars were turned away from the cruise down Washington Street due to time constraints. He hopes to add more time for drivers next year.

All fees from the car show and drive go to Irrigation Festival operations. Thousands of dollars worth of items from local businesses also were raffled to support the festival.

The car show featured entries from the early 1900s to the early 2000s.

Vehicles were judged in 22 categories on six elements: first impression, paint, stance, wheels, interior and engine compartment.

All winners received a plaque.
