First Fed sets special day for pets

First Federal celebrates Pet Appreciation Day on Thursday, May 20. Customers are encouraged to bring their pet into any First Federal branch, have a photo taken and enter a drawing for a gift certificate to a favorite pet shop.
The Clallam County Humane Society will have pets available for adoption from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the First Federal Eastside Branch, 1603 E. First St., Port Angeles. KONP will be broadcasting live from the branch.
Donations of pet supplies or cash will be collected at all nine branches and distributed to area animal shelters.
