A workshop for families with children with developmental disabilities who are making the transition from birth-to-3 programs into preschool is noon-
2 p.m Thursday, May 27, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.
The workshop is designed to help answer key questions: How do services change once a child enters into preschool? How can parents create a positive partnership with schools? Is it time to begin a trust fund? Why is inclusion, a word commonly discussed in the developmental disabilities community, so important? What does inclusion look like and what does it not look like? How do families want a child to be included in the community and the world?
The meeting also features a viewing of the award-winning film, "Including Samuel."
The event is free. Lunch is provided.
