Patricia McCauley of InsideOut Solutions in Sequim was selected to be the Olympic Peninsula marketing and promotions consultant for Kenmore Air Express.

This position is funded through a two-year $360,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation under the "Small Community Air Service Development Program."

The grant application was a partnership between the Port of Port Angeles; Kenmore Air Express; the city of Port Angeles; city of Sequim; Clallam County; EDC; the Port Angeles, Sequim and Forks chambers of commerce and the Olympic Peninsula Visitors Bureau. The partners contributed an additional $100,000 to bring the total funds available for marketing air service to Port Angeles to $460,000.

The Port of Port Angeles will administer the grant.

Grant funds will be used to promote Kenmore passenger service through marketing efforts including print, radio and television as well as social networking and the Internet.

McCauley will develop strategies to encourage flights on Kenmore for business and leisure travel, charter and cargo shipments. She also will be the Kenmore-port liaison with the Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission, local chambers of commerce, service and civic groups.

InsideOut Solutions will receive $120,000 over two years for its work on this grant.

McCauley is president of InsideOut Solutions. She has over 25 years of experience promoting tourism on the Olympic Peninsula including 10 years as the city of Sequim marketing coordinator. She was twice president of the North Olympic Peninsula Visitors Bureau. She was also the founding director of the Sequim Lavender Festival.
