Tribe dedicates clinic

After seven years in the planning, the Jamestown Family Health Clinic, 808 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim, was dedicated and blessed at a grand opening on Saturday, July 10.
The 23,000-square-foot main floor has enough exam rooms to accommodate 18 health care providers and 50 support staff, four procedure rooms and an obstetrics/
gynecology section.
In the dedication, Ron Allen, Jamestown S'Klallam Tribal Council chairman, said the clinic was built because "quality health care is important for our people, our council and our community."
Eric Lewis, CEO for Olympic Medical Center, which gave 2.5 acres to the tribe for the clinic, said the clinic will be a great resource in the community.
The clinic is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-

The clinic is affiliated with the University of Washington's Department of Family Medicine; some of the physicians are University faculty members.
The clinic also serves as a rural training center for physicians from the University's Family Medicine Residency Program.
